The NFA is a dynamic networking organization consisting of financial professionals from every financing category who have come together to network and build bridges within the financial community. The Association is in essence a network of individuals consisting of investment bankers, accountants, attorneys, brokers, venture capitalists, consultants, bankers, turnaround professionals, factors, specialty finance companies, and asset based lenders.

NFA members provide services including working capital, commercial finance, factoring, commercial lending, equipment lending, bridge financing, mezzanine lending, equity, and financial services of other types as well. Our service provider members include consultants, investment bankers, attorneys, CPA’s, brokers, strategic advisors, interim CFO’s and others providing a wide spectrum of services.

The association was organized in 1991 in Charlotte by Bud Wilson, Barry Yelton and Warren Shinn in order to bring together financial professionals to network for the purpose of generating new business and to educate and inform. Association chapters hold monthly luncheon meetings or receptions, often with a featured speaker, which is usually one of the chapter members or an outside professional with information of interest to the membership. Panel discussions on a range of topics are also held at the monthly meetings.

The NFA currently has active chapters in Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland and Nashville. The association is not in competition with the TMA, ACG, CFA or any other association because its focus is strictly networking, not turnaround management, equity development or asset based lending education.

The NFA offers a wealth of information on a variety of financing and factoring related issues. It is a resource for financial professionals of all types to exchange leads, obtain various financing services for clients, and generally improve and enhance their businesses through networking with a variety of financial professionals in many different fields.
